Brian Rice: A twentieth century British abstract painter and printmaker, Brian Rice studied at Goldsmiths College and Yeovil School of Art. He began exhibiting his art internationally in 1961 and since that time his original prints and paintings have been included in major exhibitions in England, the United States, Canada and Japan. From 1959 to 2001 Brian Rice held various lecturing and teaching posts in England. He also served as Chairman of the Printmakers Council of Great Britain, from 1974 to 1977.

Today the art of Brian Rice is included in the permanent collections of such institutions as the Tate Gallery, London, University of Cardiff, Wales, Hertford College, Oxford, University of Bristol, Sheffield Art Gallery, University of Brighton, The British Council, Worcester Museum, Greenwich Library, Croydon College of Art and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
