Tadeusz Dominik
Prof. Tadeusz Dominik
Tadeusz Dominik ( born in 1928) graduate of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in 1951. In 1988 he became a professor of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Tadeusz Dominik is one of the most remarkable and most colourful figures of the Warsaw Academy, a part of its legend. A great painter and superb teacher. He is the hero of many stories of the life of the academy, at times anecdotal. His optimism and openness were spreading. The artist primarily works in "colour", which fact he flaunts, turning it into something like a manifesto. Dominik does not confine himself to the colours of the solar spectrum. His works are free of shade, the presence of which would be uncountable. His colour is equally sonorous all through. Dominik participated in national and international exhibitions. He was awarded in competitions and exhibitions in Poland and abroad. His work may be found in private collections all over the world and in: the National Museum in Warsaw, Krakow, Szczecin, Wroclaw Museum of Modern Art in New York, Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, Museo de Bellas Artes in Caracas.
