His talents have been recognized in 1983 with awards at the International Illustration contest in Poland, the Czech Republic and Japan. He was also granted the Medal for the Cause of Vietnam's Fine Arts in 1997. In 2002, he received top honor from the Biennial of Asian Illustrations in Hokkaido, Japan. The works were printed in six colors with a blending of dark and light hues.
His paintings have been on display at Russia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Bulgaria, Iran, Japan and the US.
