Abdellehamani Hassani

A. Hassani works in the tradition of the Tingatinga School Tanzania Painting. The Tingatinga school was designated after Eduardo Saidi Tingatinga (1937-1972), which began in the 60's to paint square hard fiber boards in bright enamels with animal pictures and village scenes. 1971 took place the national and international break-through of this art trend, which is continued and developed further meanwhile by numerous pupils.

Today this art trend is predominantly sold abroad - particularly to Japan, which brings strong Japanese impulses by its demand into the African board picture painting.
