Paintings portraying the daily life of the Chimborazo popular festivals, the peasant worldview and a collection dedicated to peace and tenderness are the artistic legacy of the painter Salvador Bacón.

Bacón is famous for having spread the customs of Ecuador in various countries, especially the Carnival of his native Guamote, a canton located 60 minutes from Riobamba. He captured in two murals and more than 60 pictures painted in oil and with acrylics, scenes of the Carnival, the particularities, the characters and the stages of the party. His works were exhibited in galleries in the United States, Germany, Iran, India and Turkey, among other countries, and his brand is considered a national benchmark of customs. “He left behind an admirable legacy of art. He managed to record with his brushes the traditions of the peoples of Chimborazo and was a valued member of our institution, "said Guillermo Montoya, president of the Casa de la Cultura Núcleo de Chimborazo.
