Giorgi Machaidze
Georgia, 1964
and actor. He graduated from the Tblisi State of Fine Arts and has been in numerous art shows
since his graduation. Machaidze’s works have also been seen in an art show curated at the World
Bank called “Past, Present, and Future: Contemporary and Traditional Art from Georgia” which
was on display in February 2007. This piece here, Gogo, is an ink drawing on top of newspaper
showing the head of a woman. The drawing shows Machaidze ease of hand, as well as the
expressive nature he tends to show in many of his works.
