BiographyArtist painter-sculptor Adel Saghir (born 1930) achieved international recognition from the early 60s to the present, and his work has been exhibited world wide.
Now living in the United States for more than 27 years (he was born in Beirut, Lebanon) he is receiving a growing acclaim in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. The highly personal and original style of Adel Saghir evolved from the academic training passing through various contemporary art disciplines, into his own personal style. His work has been characterized as colorful expressive linear patterns within controlled abstract forms, denoting an intuitive enrooting to his Middle Eastern aesthetic heritage.
