BiographyI was born in Salgótarján on 12 March 1932 in a family with ten children. My brothers and sisters completed a few forms but my mother did not let me to school. She was ill-conditioned and from among the children I was her "nurse." After beginning to work I attended two months at an evening school but I did not succed in learning to write, although I would love to express myself also in writing… We played a lot. My favourite activity was playing with dolls. I loved dolls. I made clothes for them. I cut my own hair and put it on the doll's head. I was quite young when I started making clay figures. But they broke up. I put some of my drawings on the wall but they were taken off when whitewashing the walls. Painting was started by my husband. I preferred drawing in the beginning. First I drew pictures and then I painted them. Today oil painting is my favourite. I have four children. I was pensioned off in the early seventies. Painting became my major source of joy.
