BiographyBecoming an artist was not an initial career goal for Frank Monaco. "I have a master's degree in psychology and was on my way to becoming a psychologist before I took my first art class in Key West (more than 30 years ago)," said the artist.
Internationally recognized through exhibitions and awards in Chicago, Michigan, Washington D.C., Latin America, Texas and New York, Frank Monaco possesses a flair for intense color, bold strokes and the free-flowing forces of nature. Art critic Arnold Simon describes Monaco's works as "a stunning synthesis of abstraction and realism ... showing an affinity for savoring the moment. He conveys not simply the look, but the feel of sunsets, storm clouds and other natural phenomena."
